Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.

There are two ways to import photos into iPhoto. First is select the pictures then click, drag and drop them to the iPhoto icon on the dock and they will be imported to iPhoto.

Second is, open iPhoto click on file menu at top bar and select Import. Locate and select the photos in Pictures folder and import.

Please let me know if that didn't work so I will continue to help you.
