I am running Skype 7.13 on my mac air. video calls worked

Customer Question

i am running Skype 7.13 on my mac air. video calls worked fine until 2 days ago. Now i get video and can hear the person I'm speaking to but they can't hear me. Audio settings are Built in Microphone (internal) and built in Output (internal) for speakers. I have also tried switching these to "same as system" but it did not correct the problem.

Hi there,

Did you recently make any hardware or software changes at all, or have you connected any new headphones or speakers?

If your Mac has separate ports for input and output, the sound input port has a microphone icon. If your Mac has only one sound port, it has a headphones icon but can be used both input and output.

no changes and this is an internal microphone, not an external device

Does the internal microphone work with any other apps?

i have figured out the issue, the other party was having issues with speakers, not me.
thank you

Ok, that solves the mystery!

Glad to hear you got it resolved.

Have a great day!
