Customer Question

recently downloaded ios 9 to our ipad when it asked if I would like to use a passcode I entered no passcode and all was ok until I tried to use the ipad the next day. First thing up was enter passcode, which I didn't have, finally the Ipad was showing disabled.
Went online to see if it could be corrected, and was directed to ITunes. Connected with ITunes and followed instructions given, but stated that it couldn't access the Ipad because it needed a passcode. Is there anyway to open the Ipad and return back to usage again or
is it finished? Have not been able to resolve this issue on my own. 65 years old and not that much into the tech end of things. Thanks. Dave in Pa.

Hi there and welcome

You will have to reset the iPad, there is no other way to remove this.

To do the reset

Connect the iPad to the computer and open itunes

Hold the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPAd in recovery mode..."

Click Restore iPad, let this complete and it should now work

Let me know the results please

Thank you

connected to ITunes and followed instructions, was informed that ITunes couldn't connect with the IPad because I have to
enter a passcode into the Pad. Which is kind of the problem right?

yes but the instructions I gave bypass this.

You only connected it, you need to connect then

Hold the power and home button down until you see the Apple Logo then release.

Please review again the instructions I gave and make sure you do the, exactly as I have specified please.
