I want to re activate my iPad Air but forgot the original

Customer Question

Hello there. I want to re activate my iPad Air but forgot the original password.
This iPad Air has never really been used . I had iPad 1 still working so used it all this time
From help received 'on line' I went as far as 'Recovery Mode' and downloaded the 1.90
GB (abt.85 minute). At this point I should (?) have seen the message 'the reset was successful and the iPad would reboot itself. BUT nothing more happened. THANK

Hello there! Did you forget the apple id password ***** just the unlock password?

Expert:  Johnny Mack replied 2 years ago.

If its the unlock just follow these steps

  1. Plug your iPad into your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Turn off the iPad.
  3. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
  4. Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
  5. Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
  6. After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

Make sure the iPad's screen is blank and no logos are present

Then restore with itunes.
