When I click on the Safari browser and go to AOL it requires

When I click on the Safari browser and go to AOL it requires me to enter my password ***** Then I quit AOL and go back to my Dock. Afterwards, if I click on AOL on Safari it brings up the account without requiring a password, and it does that until I turn off the computer. I have an I mac that has a "sleep" alternative which I have been using.
