When I try to log into my Mac, my Apple ID password ***** *****

Customer Question

When I try to log into my Mac, my Apple ID password ***** ***** When I used the same ID on my laptop it works so it's got to be the machine, not the password. This is preventing me from doing an OS install on my Mac.

Hi there,If the password ***** ***** on your laptop but not on your Mac, then check if you have CAPS LOCK turned on, or if Num Lock is turned off if there are any numbers in the password.Try typing the password ***** a notepad to ensure every character appears correctly.
