Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
What version of Mac OS X are you using ?
Expert:  Ashik replied 2 years ago.
You will not be able to edit them because Mac sees the document scanned as a image/picture file (even if you scanned as PDF). It will not recognize the texts on the scanned document. It just see it as a picture file.
You have to use OCR (Optical Characted Images) applications to convert those images to readable/editable documents. There are many OCR applications out there. Here is a free one :
Most of the OCR applications are not free and not cheap. Some of the best out there are Prizom :
ABBYY Fine Reader Pro for Mac :
These application can convert the image documents to editable documents. You should try the trial version of those applications before buying them.
There are also some online services that can convert the scanned images to editable documents.
