I know how to rename iPhoto libraries.
I asked that and you said you wanted to rename the Libraries the "Actual Libraries", those are in your Pictures folder and there usually is ony one unless you go out of your way to make more manually.
The application (what application I assumed iPhoto) that I am using now seems to open a file called - Steph - I found this by trial and error. If you hold Option when opening iPhoto it will list any recent Libraries you have opened.
The previous method that I used to trick iPhoto into opening a new file no longer works, and my "iPhoto library" has disappeared from the Finder. What is that method?
I suspect that I will need to totally reorganize and rename the files, but without an "iPhoto library" I am lost. Look in your Picture folder for iPhoto Library.
How can I get my iPhoto library back? (Hold Opiton and open iPhoto do you see it? ) Should I import all of my photos back into the iPhoto library? I don't have enough RAM to support this. RAM has nothing to do with it I assume you mean hard drive space.
Is there a way of using iPhoto to open different files? Only pictures not sure what you mean there.
Should I upgrade from iPhoto 6 before trying to sort out this mess? NO
Does iPhoto 11 provide a way of managing thousands of photos? All versions can do that.
