Im struggling with my MacBook because it will suddenly dramatically

This answer was rated:

I'm struggling with my MacBook because it will suddenly dramatically magnify the image of the screen. I can't figure out what I'm doing with the mouse that would make that happen, and I'm not hitting command+. It makes filling out forms and order info since more than half of the screen image disappears off to the right. Usually have to hit the BACK button (left arrow) and then I lose the data I just entered.

Would appreciate your help.

Viet - Mac Tech :

Hello! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.

Viet - Mac Tech :

If you press at the same time the two keys Control and - (minus), does it decrease the size?

Customer:

I'll have to try that. I thought COMMAND- was the way to shrink a screen. That doesn't work. I'll let you know when it happens again if CONTROL- works.

Viet - Mac Tech :

Control and - (minus) or Command and - (minus), without using the Back button?

Viet - Mac Tech :

ok, try this page

Viet - Mac Tech :

try both plus and minus

Hi Bill,

thanks for requesting me again.

A double tap of two fingers on the Macbook's trackpad will invoke smart zoom. Another
double tap will unzoom again.

If it happens again, try double-tapping the trackpad to unzoom again.
