IOS 7 update causing sound problems
Hello, and thanks for your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will help you today.

I am sorry that your ipad is having problem with sound. Does this happen right after the update?

When and where did you purchase your ipad?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
iPad 2bought directly from Apple about 2 years ago. Problem occurred immediately after install of i OS upgrade
Thanks so much for your reply.

We can do a quick Reset as follows:

HOLD the Power (on/off) button and Home (round button with white square) button for 10-12 seconds. Ignore the Turn off message and release the buttons when you see the white apple logo. Let your iPad boots. Now test to see if the issue is resolved or still the same.

Please reply back if this method worked out or not. Thank you!

Thanks! Worked just fine. That was easy!
You are welcomed. Glad it worked out for you.

That Reset is very useful for ipad/iphone/ipod touch. You should save a copy for further uses. Please rate my answer so I can get credit. Thank you!

Hi. New problem. Now, the music volume is too low, while the system sounds are normal. I tried resetting with virtual and sound buttons. When I play a movie with or without earphones the sound volume is very low. Any suggestions?

Thanks for asking. So this is with music or video only?

Please try to do a Settings reset:

  1. On your iPad, go to Settings.
  2. Select General
  3. Select Reset (all the way at the bottom of this list)
  4. Select Reset all settings. (1st choice)
  5. Your iPad will reboot and prompt for wifi setup and other services setup.
  6. Test to see if sound is working properly or still have the same problem.

Please let me know how it went. Thank you!
