How do I move certain songs from my MacBookPro's iTunes Music Library to my iPhone? MacBook Pro has version 10.6.8 OS- doesn't auto sync w iPhone5.

Hello Holly,

I am Vinod. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.

When you connect the iphone to the computer, is the iphone name listed in itunes?

If it is listed, click on the iphone name and now to the middle of the screen, you will find options such as sync only checked songs, manually manage music etc (you may have to scroll down to see those options).

Let me know what all among those options are now selected.

Thank You

sync checked songs and videos is checked

manually manage music is not checked

Thank you, Holly.

Lets check the option "manually manage music" and click on apply.

Now drag the songs from your iTunes library onto the top of your iPhone name listed.

Let me know whether this add the songs into the iPhone.

Oh my goodness, it worked!!

Thank you sooo much! You're the best!

I knew Apple would not make something so simple into something difficult.

Send smiley faces again, plze

Great to know that worked...:)

The drag and drop method will work only if the option "manually manage music" is checked. If that is not checked, you need to click on the music tab in the middle of the screen (where it shows summary, music, photos etc) and select "sync songs" from there.

Have a great day!
