This answer was rated:

I had to get a new hard drive installed on my HP laptop, running Vista OS. When I go into iTunes all of my audio books, music, TV shows, movies...everything is gone. I do, however, have everything on my iPod Classic.

How can I restore everything that is on my iPod to my new hard drive so that I can start using iTunes again?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Hello and thank you for your question today. My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

You can use the free application called "iDump" found on this site:

After you use iDump to copy all back to your computer, you can sync via iTunes and just import the music back.

If you have any issues, please, let me know and I can remote in so I can walk you through this.

If you have any questions, I am available to continue.

Okay, I got the software installed...I have the program up...It found my iPod, I selected ALL TRACKS, but the Start Copy button is grayed out...Do I have to put a check mark next to ALL 3000 songs that I want to copy back to my hard drive???

Choose the "select all" option.

Thank you for the update.

May I please, start a remote screen sharing session with you so that I can better help you resolve this problem?
