I am unable to link my mini i-pad onto my ADSL D-Link modem.Have tried numerous times on 10.0.0.2 Have also reset D-Link modem.Keeps on telling me I have inserted wrong user name or password?
Any new suggestions?

Ok. So theres no internet at the house at all then..

Question, right now.. do you have the computer connected physically by a lan cable, to the Lan port on the DSL-2750U 3g modem?

I installed the DSAL line specifically to create a wifi for my computer and ipad as the 3g connection is extremely slow.Yes the computer is connected to theD. Link modem by LAN cable and clearly shows that it is on.

Ok... So do you have a second modem, besides this one

Ok.. these are the steps we need to follow.

The most important thing is, connecting to the right modem.

Its imperative, that on page 7 of those steps, were looking at an oroange colored screen thats asking you to login.

If were not seeing an oroange colored screen that says Dlink, were not in the right place.

So lets try to get as far as step 7.. And make sure we see that screen.

let me know if and where you get stuck on any stpes before then.

The bochure explains clearly what should be done.However there is no live box to actually insert the username and password.

ok.. so your typing in 10.0.0.2 in the exact spot it shows you to type it in, on your windows computer?

And you hit enter.. and exactly what do you see ?

I see a box asking for user name and password.I entered admin and admin.It keeps on telling me it is wron user name or password.I am back in square one.You hve not solved my problem.What now ?

Ok. with everything your describing to me. How the device fails to reset.

How we cannot access the actual device configuration page..

It sounds to me like the issue is simply, you have a faulted DSL router..

You see, even if your internet was completely down, we should still be able to access the DSL routers internal webpage.

My best advice at this point is to return that one to Vodacom, or to your Internet service provider, and have them replace it with a new one.

Then, you should be able to follow the simple setup steps that I sent you a link to, and have a working internet connection.

My problem remains unresolved.Will only be able to rate service once it has been proved that the router is indeed faulty.At this stage my feeling is that I have wasted at least two hours communicating with justanswer and I am not happy with the fact that the cost has already been debited to my account..I am certainly not satisfied.

I wouldnt expect you to rate the answer, until we verify that it is correct.. As far as wasting time, youve probably saved time considering the time involved and the cost in paying a technician to come out to the residence, just to have them come to the same conclusion.

And even though a security deposit has been authorized against your card by the website, if my suggestions dont solve the issue, you can always send a reply to me as you have been doing, to let me know. And we can request a refund for you if and when the time comes.

Hi Dustin. The router is not defective.it required an adjustment on my computer which I have finallly managed to do with assistance of my service provider.. Hence if your word is your honour you will refund my deposit. Regards. XXXXXX XXXXXXX
