Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do whatever I possibly can to help answer your questions.

First of all I'm very sorry to hear you are having this problem.

Which model iMac is it? When was it purchased?

What disc is it that is stuck? Is it a standard size?

Does the disc appear on the Desktop in OS X?

Does the drive make any noise when you try to eject it?

Thanks in advance,
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Model: MAC OS X Mac mini
Purchased 2011
Standard DVD disc
No it does not appear on desktop
No it does not make any specific noise although it sounds as if it is running all the time
Hi Anthony,

There are a few things that can be tried in this situation.

Shut down the Ac Mini. Power on and hold the left mouse button.

This should activate 'mouse eject' at startup.

If the disc does not eject please let me know if you heard the disc mechanism at startup trying to eject the disc.

Your sincerely,

That's excellent!
Well done. Did as directed and disc was ejected.
Many thanks for your kind assistance.
Hi Anthony,

That's fantastic! Fortunately this wasn't a non-standard disc, or a hardware issue.
