hello, Im trying to install ibook author and everytime I download

hello, I'm trying to install ibook author and everytime I download it says OXS 10.7 and higher is needed... and I did download it.. but my comp says mcintosh hd....

And there lies the problem. Your computer is having a version of 10.6.8 and for installing the ibooks author, you need it to be 10.7 or above.

You would need to download lion (10.7) or mountain lion (10.8) from the mac app store. It is a direct download from the mac app store.
