Hi Gary,

Looking at reviews and the specifications on these speakers and the speakers Only support sound only if you are playing music or games. It will not support two way sound like in a facetime/skype call. If the speakers had a built-in microphone then it would be possible on a bluetooth connection. Or if you wire the speakers to your ipad using the headphone jack on your ipad then you should be able to hear audio.
