I suddenly cant use my iPad2 because I get this message "Password

I suddenly can't use my iPad2 because I get this message "Password XXXXX enter password XXXXX Exchange Account". I don't know what an exchange account is and I have never had this happen before. I can't get past this message to use my iPad. What can I do?

Your ipad could be frozen. Let's try a reset first.

Press and hold the power button and the home button together until you see an apple logo. (the ipad will turn off and come back on with an apple after approximately 5-15 sec).
