Is this an Ipad, Iphone, or Ipod your having this issue on?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
It is the apple I-pad first generation
Thanks!!

Try to turn the ipad off, and then on first.. If the Icon doesnt come back.

check this next

Go to IPad/IPhone settings
2. Select General tab
3. Select Restrictions tab
4. Enter Passcode to make changes
5. Turn on "Installing Apps" feature
6. Exit Settings
7. Scroll/Search for App Store within IPad/IPhone Apps

If that doesnt bring it back, try this next

Settings>General>Reset

choose the option to "reset homescreen layout"

If none of this helps get your icon back.. Then try and connect the ipad to your computer with itunes, and then sync the ipad.
