first you open itunes on both computers
go to "store" scroll down to "sign in"
sign in on both computers with your Apple Id and password
now in itunes for both computers
go "edit" ----->>>"preferences" ------>>> click on "sharing" ----> check on box "sharing my library on my local network" and check whatever you want to share below
also check on box "home sharing computers and devices update play counts"
now your itunes will merge with each other

I followed the above procedure however, the old PC must be on ITunes for me to view my playlist on the new PC? Is there a way to transfer the playlist permanently to my new PC?
