When I sync my iphone or ipad with my PC, the PC shuts down

Customer Question

When I sync my iphone or ipad with my PC, the PC shuts down during the "analyzing photo library" step - very time. How can I avoid this?

Hi my name is David.

First try delete iPod photo cache.

Are you syncing your photos from Adobe Elements, or from a folder?

I am not at home so I cannot follow your suggestions right now. How do I delete photo cache? I am syncing photos from adobe elements. Is that a problem?

Expert:  David replied 5 years ago.

It depends on which version of Elements you are using. If you can get back to me with that I can tell you were it is.

I have Elements 7. Does that help?

Expert:  David replied 5 years ago.

Yes thanks. The iPod Photo Cache will be in you Catalogs folder. Delete that folder from both these locations:

All Users: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\Catalog Name

Current User: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\Catalog Name

Then try to sync the iPod.

If it fails you can restore the iPod and choose not to recover from the last backup, repeat above steps, and try another Sync.

If both fail please reply and I will help.

Best regards,
