Hello I have an Ion VCR 2 PC converter to capture old home

Resolved Question:

Hello I have an Ion VCR 2 PC converter to capture old home movies. Can it be used with my IMac? If so what connector do I need? If not what consumer unit can I use? Thanks

Hello, my name is Dan.
I will do my best to help you, the only stupid question is the unasked one.

Just so I know that we are talking about the same thing is the above what you have?
Which iMac do you have?
Which version of OS X is on it?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Daniel, I have Mac OS X 10.6.8
Expert:  Daniel replied 5 years ago.
That's a start, what about the rest?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
It is a iMac 20.2? I'm not sure where I find that answer?
Expert:  Daniel replied 5 years ago.
Ok, look in the Apple menu top left corner in 'About this Mac',

Where the arrows point is what I want.
Is the link the same converter you have?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
OK, 3.06 GHx Intel Core 13
Expert:  Daniel replied 5 years ago.
Nice iMac, I have that model, using it now.
Now what about the converter, just click on this link and tell me if this is what you have.
If it is then, no, it will not work with the iMac as is.
It will need software for Mac that can use the input such as this.
I have that product and like it, makes it easy, the software for what I think you have will not work unless you are running Windows.

Daniel, I just ordered the Roxio. I assume that I take the analog RCA lines out of the Ion into the Ronio right?
Expert:  Daniel replied 5 years ago.
Yes, it should hook right up to the out to TV ports, the RCA jacks.
