Hi My name is Ashik. I hope i can help you.

We can try to rebuild the database of Entourage. Then rebuild the Entourage Database,Quit all applications like Office applications, Microsoft Messenger, Office Notifications, iPhoto, iTunes etc. Then hold down the Option key and launch the Entourage application. In a few seconds, you'll be greeted with the Entourage Database Utility. Rebuild the database from there..

Let me know if that didn't worked...Only click Accept after it worked.

Ashik

that did not work. i quit the applications and launched as suggested. of the options that came up, i went to "rebuild the database" but when selected, the only option it gave me on the bottom was to "quit" as "continue" was greyed out. i also have time machine installed on this machine. is there a way i can fix it from there?

We can try Time Machine if nothing worked...Now try trashing Entourages old preferences.
Close all applications including Entourage, Now delete these files/folders

Goto Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/ folder and trash these files

com.Microsoft.Entourage.plist
com.Microsoft.Entourage.prefs.plist
Entourage Preferences

Also trash from Macintosh HD/Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/ too

com.Microsoft.Entourage.plist
com.Microsoft.Entourage.prefs.plist
Entourage Preferences

After removing the preferences restart your Mac and open Entourage

Let me know if that didn't worked...Only click Accept after it worked.

Best Regards,
Ashik
