I have an airport extreme router which I use to connect to

Resolved Question:

I have an airport extreme router which I use to connect to broad band internet, wireless printer and Vonage internet phone. I am unable to connect to the internet using the router. Until about 1 week ago everything was working fine. I reset the router and tried to connect to the internet. I was asked to input IP address of internet provider. It did not happen before. Now I cannot connect to the internet.

Hello, my name is Dan.
I will do my best to help you, the only stupid question is the unasked one.
This is how to do that so it can once again connect.
Leave the Airport on and connected to the modem, unplug the modem from power for about 10 seconds then plug it back in.
This allows the Airport and modem to handshake and get to know each other.
Wait for the light on the Airport to turn green and you are in.
This may help..
If, for some reason, that fails please let me know.

I am connected to the internet through the modem. If I disconnect the modem connection to my lap top and connect it to the router, then How do I communicate with you if the problem is not solved
