I thought you said this computer has wireless?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
My computer I am on now is attached to a wireless router (by hardwire). From this router I have wi fi! Sorry I am not good at tech talk!
Expert:  James replied 6 years ago.
No worries :)

So what exactly crashes?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
the wireless router (and therefore the wifi) but it does it only when I try to update ipods, iphones, etc from another computer which is wireless, AND also when the same iphones, ipod tries to download via wifi! Does that make any sense? ALso when I was trying to do the itunes upgrade on the wireless laptop.
Expert:  James replied 6 years ago.
Oh! I understand now.

That means your wireless router is defective - it should never crash, no matter what traffic you generate. You can try to reset it to defaults by holding the reset button on the back for 25 seconds, but I highly recommend you consider a new router.

But why would it only do it with itunes/Apple devices?

It seems a specific type of traffic triggers the fault - in this case it is the traffic to the apple servers. I am certain the router is defective.
