How to connect Kensington keyboard to an iPad?

Customer Question

Unable to get the kensington keyboard to connect to my iPad via bluetooth. I charged it up for several hours. When I plug the power cord into the kensington, the red light comes on under charge and the connect button will click; but, I can get no type of response when pushing the "power" button.

On the iPad the "wheel" is spinning in the searching rectangle, but nothing shows up. Any suggestion?

To connect the iPad to the keyboard, flick the hardware switch on the case to “on” and press the connect button. Go into your Bluetooth preferences in your iPad’s Settings, and pair the device there. You’ll have to type a code on the keyboard followed by “Enter,” to pair the keyboard .

If this does not work, you may be low on charge, have the batteries inserted backwards or incorrectly, or a faulty keyboard. You may also want to check the ipad, turn it off fully, hold power button.

Turn ipad back on, try to connect again as above and pair the keyboard.
