Customer Question

Since yesterday morning, I have been able to send emails but am not receiving any. Also the past few weeks 3 or 4 times I have been inundated by old emails deleted since August, which I then re-delete. Are these related issues? Can you help me?

Welcome to Just Answer and thank you for your query.

Please can you try the following

Click Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
Choose restore my computer to an earlier time
Choose a bold highlighted date going back a week
Click next and allow system to restore
Retry the email

I should have mentioned I have a Mac (I thought this was a Mac only help line), so I need a different sequence of commands to get the the "system restore" area (this is called something else on a Mac, is it not?).

Ah there is something similar but it wipes your mac and reinstalls the operating system

I will opt out to see if other experts can help

There has to be something similar to system restore on the Mac that doesn't wipe out my os!. And there must be a simpler answer to why my deleted messages keep recurring. I have deleted them from the inbox and from the deleted file, and they keep returning. Are they somewhere else in cyberspace, and somehow they keep getting sent back to my machine? Is there a setting I need to change?

Thank you,
