In Outlook 2011, I turned on synch services for contacts in preferences. I need to turn it off because I'm getting duplicate contacts but now the options are greyed out and it won't let me turn it off. Help~~

  1. You have no email account configured (anymore).
    To configure an account choose Tools-> Email Accounts or Tools-> Account Settings
    (the exact naming depends on your version of Outlook)

  2. Your version of Outlook hasn’t been activated yet or your trial has expired.
    To activate your version of Outlook choose Help-> Activate Product…
    If your trial version has expired you’ll need to buy an Outlook license if you want to continue using Outlook.

This issue could happen for two main reasons stated above.

This is a purchased product and does have email account configured. Help in Outlook 2011 does not have an option for activate product...I assume that is because I already activated it.

Do you have the installation CDs to reinstall the Office ?

If you have the installtion disks, you must try reinstalling the MS office 2011.

I reinstalled and it didn't work...synch services are still greyed out.
