I was trying to install windows and my screen is stuck on: No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key. There is a windows xp disc in the rom

Hi, what exact version and service pack is the XP disc...Bootcamp is VERY finicky when it comes to what install disc it wants for XP. Update here and I'll be glad to follow up.

XP Pro x64 and the discc is stuck

ahh I don't think it works with the 64bit version...boot up the computer holding down option, this should get you into a boot screen where you can eject the disc...otherwise hold down the space bar (or press repeateadly) while the computer reboots to eject the disc
