Hi, Im trying to connect via airport to a wireless network

Resolved Question:

Hi, Im trying to connect via airport to a wireless network with a password. I have the password, but it is not accepted and asks for a WEP key. I inserted the key given for another wireless netword that worked: 5FD932877A, but although it connects me to the network, does not allow me to get on the internet. Can you help? I.m using a MacBook Pro. 10.6.3

Hello and Thank You for letting me assist you with your issue(s).

What are you using to connect to the wireless network (system and hardware)?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Ok, try plugging your Mac directly into the wireless with a network cable and report back with the result. (You may need to reboot Airport and Modem)

I'm not able to do that. DOn't want to disturb the owner's network! And he's not available!

We need to verify that your modem and wireless router are reaching the Internet. Also, try rebooting your Mac and report back to me.

Thank you Allan.

No success. I ran the airport diagnostic program. All shows green/ok except Newtwork settings, Internet and Server

Ok, looks like you need to get the correct network key and reset this.

How do I do this?

Who set up the wireless network on the wireless router? That person should have the information for you.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
