Is there a way to get my new iMac, running Snow Leopard, 10.6.3, to recognize my Panasonic GS320? Would installing Windows Media Player do it?

Thank you

Hello and thanks for using

What version of imovie are you using?

Start Imovie

Click on Imovie in the top left and choose about

Are you using a usb cable?

Hi Tom -

iMovie version is 8.0.5 (820). I've just gotten a notice that there is an update available, but
I haven't installed it yet. The update version would be 8.0.6.

I'm using the usb cable that came with the camera.

You will need to use a firewire cable not usb for video. Something like below should work if you have a new imac.

You will be able to export pictures with the usb but not video.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX try that. Will let you know - will probably take a few to several days to get the right cable.
