It's hardly a firefox problem.

Blank screen in Joomla occurs when:

1) There is no index.php defined as default handler in Apache
To fix it: rename htaccess.txt (in the Joomla root installation folder) to .htaccess

2) Configuration is missing.
To fix it: rename confituration.php-dist to configuration.php

3) _JEXEC_ is not defined in index.php (check that all incude directories and files are in place and available for reading by Apache user)
