I am trying to sort a large spreadsheet and am getting a this

This answer was rated:

I am trying to sort a large spreadsheet and am getting a "this operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized" message. I did not merge any cells and have never run into this problem before. How do I correct the spreadsheet so I can sort?

There must be some merged cells somewhere on that sheet. To unmerge any merged cells, select all the cells, then click Format > Cells > Alignment tab, and uncheck the box 'Merge cells' (you may need to click twice to totally remove the check). Then click OK.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
