How do I get passed a self-assigned IP address I can connect

Customer Question

How do I get passed a self-assigned IP address? I can connect directly to my wireless modem, but when I try to go through my router, i cannot connect to the internet. All settings have been reset to factory default with the help of Clear technician.

Go to the Apple logo on the upper left of the screen and tell me the System Version, the Processor and the Memory.

Also what is the brand of the router / wireless modem? Are these two different devices or do you only have one wireless modem? Are there any other computers connected?

I am canceling my request for help. I am working with someone on this problem.

Thank you anyway.
