When you press the scan button on the scanner, does anything happen?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Nothing happens when I push the scan button on the scanner.
Expert:  Jason Jones replied 7 years ago.
- Make note of where all the cables go on the scanner.
- Unplug everything from the scanner (usb cable, phone line, power cord, etc).
- Plug the USB cable back in.
- Plug the power in and everything else.

Does the scanner even turn on? Scan now.

Scanner does not turn on.
Expert:  Jason Jones replied 7 years ago.
Double check the power cable that runs from the wall outlet to the scanner. Verify that the outlet works by plugging something else into it.

Either your scanner or the power adapter for the scanner is broken; you will have to purchase a new one.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I think I have found the problem. I do not have a cable connecting the scanner with the wall outlet.
I must have misplaced it.
