My inbox icon has a clock icon next to it and when I try to read an email, I can read one or two but then in the message box it shows the loading icon and tries to load indefinitely and then I cannot even get out on my e-mail without a force quit.

Go to the Apple logo on the upper left of the screen and tell me the System Version, the Processor and the Memory.

It sounds like Apple Mail is trying to download a lot of email. Did you just setup this account or has it been running for a while?

The e-mail has been up for about a month, have 2 mailboxes and one has 106 unread e-mails (my husband's mailbox)
