How do I change user name and password? Somebody else set up my password XXXXX they can't remember it.

Do you mean Mac's User Account and Password ?

Do you have the Mac OS X installation disks came with your Mac ?

No. For linksys login so i can use a new device on wireless router.

If you don't remmber the password XXXXX your router, then you can reset it. Before resetting your router try these usernames and password.

User Name :
Password : admin
(Don't type anything on the Username, just leave it blank)

User Name : admin
Password : admin

That did not work

Goto ~/Applications/Utilities/ and open Keychain Access. On the left column, choose Passwords. Search for routers password XXXXX there. If you found it, just open it and turn on the "Show Password" checkbox. It will show the password..
