Hi I just created my first idvd for my husbands 60th birthday

Customer Question

I just created my first idvd for my husbands 60th birthday which included a slide show and three movies . It plays fine on my mac, but when I burned an archived version onto a dvd, two out the three movies do not show up. The titles do, but no movies are there. Please help! It is a birthday surprise.

Thank you

Hello Barbara, my name is Dan.
Can you tell me what version OS X you have? 10.4.x, 10.5.x or 10.6.x?
Which version iLife? 06, 08, 09?
Do you still have all the pictures and video for the DVD?
Is the DVD project still intact?

Hi. Thanks for writing.
I have O 10.5.8.
I have the newest i life 09
All the files are intact.
I have tried burning it several times onto DVD's and cannot get two of the movies to transfer. The titles are there, but no content.
The project is fine on my desktop and on my laptop when I transferred it with a LACIE.
I want to get it onto a DVD to make sure it will play for my husbands party.
I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Did you use iDVD to make the DVD?
I find that it works best if you crate a disk image in iDVD before actually burning it to disc.
This way it can be proofread and changes made before making coasters out of perfectly good discs.
If you could tell me step by step what you did and with what app it will be quicker to find the problem.
