pdf files will not open on my imac. NOTHING happens when i click on pdf files online. how do i get the files online to automatically open up with acrobat? i cannot even click on the files to download; its just nothing

Which browser you are using? Which version?
Are you trying to open pdf files in browser?

mozilla firefox 5.0 for macintosh -- mac 0s x 10.4

yes; trying to open them up through the browser. usually when i click on a pdf on a website it downloads, then opens. NOW, nothing. it doesnt download, it doesnt open. it just sits there.

i can open up files through adobe acrobat that are already downloaded on my system; acrobat reader 5.0 opens files already on my system. Its just trying to get them to download on my system

It's seems like configuration issue in Acrobat Reader. We have two options to solve this issue:

1) Configure Acrobat Reader
2) Save file to harddrive and then open it.

For safe side, reset the firefox. (Tools->Clear Private Data. Select all and Click on Clear Private Data Now.)
