I have just installed OSX6.0 (Snow Leopard) on my MacBook, and my printer HP Deskjet 3300 will not open. I downloaded the current printer driver for my printer type, and it still will not open.
Hello my name is Dan.
How old is the printer?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Hi Dan,

I purchased my Deskjet 3320 in 2003.
Therein lies the rub.

Apple, as far as I know did not mention this (or maybe they did and I ignored it) fact that some printers older that 4.5 years old will no longer be supported. I have looked on various printer support sites and found that they are not updating their drivers for 10.6.

I also lost my favorite printer to this upgrade as have many others.

There are two things to do.

1-Go back to 10.5.8 and get your printer back. (like a country song played backwards) or.

2- Get a new printer, That is what I think I may do, haven't decided yet.
