HI on a macbook excel 2008 every time i enter a number

excel 2008
every time i enter a number it divides it by 100
so if i enter 1 then 0.01 shows in the cell
i have tried to change cell formatting - no soln

plse help



Ok you need to uncheck the box "Fixed decimals" under the Edit tab in your Excel Options.

I understand your answer, but cannot find the checkbox i am using mac 2008 home edition office, no checkbox in edit
