Resolved Question:

I am using an imac 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OS X 10.5.7

About a week ago i got the feeling that the imac was not running as fast as it should, and now the finder keeps on giving the beach ball which I have to restart the finder and some time the whole mac to get it working. Is there prefs that I should trash?

Goto your user folder then Library folder then Cache folder. Inside the Cache folder delete everything in there. (Make sure it is empty). Then go back to the Library folder and goto the Preferences folder, from here delete Then restart.

Let me know how it goes!
