A new problem which may be related to some hard drive problems

Resolved Question:

A new problem which may be related to some hard drive problems I've been having:

I've been trying to send messages using Thunderbird for the Mac, but I can't do it. I keep getting drop-down messages that I should check my "Temporary Directory." However, I can't find anything by that name. What is it and where is it?

You should repair file permissions with the Disk Utility program found in your Utility folder.

And make sure you have al the Apple Updates from the Apple Menu.

The Temporary file location is set in your Thunderbird Preferences, but the above instructions should solve it.
