I have a fault on my mac where the active window becomes inactive every minute or so, this happens whatever the application especially Finder which closes altogether. Please can you help ? David

This is probably related to the Stuffit Preference.

Do this and let me know if it works:

Go to your Apple Menu and choose System preferences.

In here, click on Stuffit and then the AVR tab and turn it off/Stop it.

Close the window and then restart.

Thats brilliant problem has stopped Thanks very much. What would have caused Stuffitt to do this (I'm no expert !!) Thanks again Customer

It was a Quicktime update that broke the Archive via Rename function. The Stuffit developers will update it it I am sure.

Meantime keep an eye on that preference because I have had reports of it mysteriously turning back on after restarts. You may need to actually go into a folder and remove the PrefPane app to stop it altogether.

Thanks for the Accept!! Come back again if you need any other questions answered.
