Customer Question

I have been using this iMac since 2005 and have stored a number of photos in various programs. I would like to put them all in iPhoto - and I am sure it is somewhere in this machine but cannot seem to bring it up. I am not tech minded so need a lot of guidance in dealing with this problem.

iPhoto was included with any new Mac sold and also as a part of iLife.

If you did not get iLife, or you reinstalled your OS X and did not do a restore of the original applications, then you do not have it on your drive.

iLife is at version 09 and it is an amzing suite of stuff. For only 99.00.

If you bought your Mac recently, but lost iphot somehow, you can install your iPhoto again from the Install disk 1.

Just look for Additional Software installer and run that instead.

Hope this helps,

I pretty much expected an answer of this sort and your response verified it so I guess I will have to go back to my Mac 09 that I was using before upgrading to the 10.3.9 Panther. Thank you.

Thank you for the Accept.

And do you mean Classic or Mac OS 9?

Not needed if you want to just get iPhoto and the others included.

Going backwards is hard to do and a lot of software no longer supports 9 or even 10.3.9 now.

You are better off getting a copy of Tiger/10.4 and then iLife.

Install these and you will be compatible for a long time to come.

Just my opinion.

Thanks again,
