I have a relatively new MacBook (V 10.5.4) and just purchased a new Brother MFC 7840W Wireless printer. How do I "synch" the MacBook with the printer? HELP!

Hello,

Yeah, unfortunately Brother printers are not as easy to get working on Macs wirelessly. It will work extremely easily if you connect it with a USB cable, so remember that as an option.

Let's see if Mac OS X even recognizes the wireless printer. I'd like you to turn the printer on, and then do the following:

1) Go to Apple menu->System preferences...
2) Click "Print & Fax"
3) Click the + icon
4) Click Default
5) Do you see your Brother printer in the list? If so, select it and click Add

If this doesn't work, I found a Brother Wireless Setup Wizard for Mac. Download this and try it:

If those don't work, let me know what happens and we can try something else.

Kind regards,

Shawn
