Are you hardwired or wireless?
Also could you tell us what type of Mac you are using?
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences then from the View menu, click Network, Choose Built-in Ethernet and click Using DHCP from the Configure menu.
Click Apply Now and then try opening a browser to see if you can connect.
