I have a 2002 iMac G4 with the white base. Although its plugged into a special computer surge protector, the latest power outage took out the computer. It won't even start. Nothing. No power at all. Can anything be done? Is there a reset button anywhere? I'm not even sure where to begin since it won't even boot. Please tell me its not just a paperweight now. Thanks.

There is a reset button under the user accessible cover next to the ram slots. It is under the plastic sheet to the right of the ram slots.

See this article for pictures of the button and its location.

Hope this helps,
