Customer Question

I have just gotten a mac mini, I am trying to setup the internet. I have a wirless network, and plugged a usb network adaptor into my mac....I didn't see an option for airport or wireless. What steps should I take to get my mac on the internet

You do not need to use the USB network adaptor, the Mac Mini comes with a built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme wireless networking (based on 802.11g standard).

To connect to your wireless network using it, click the apple menu and then System Preferences...

Click Network

And then in the left column you should see Airport, if it is not on, turn it on and select your network from the network name drop down list.

You should now be connected to the internet.
