hi I have a powermac 9600. Is it possible via a PCI card, or any other way, to install usb ports in this machine?

Yes you can install USB ports in this machine via a USB PCI card, but you will need to download the USB update from Apple detailed here:

thanks for your quick response. I don't know much about macs. the 9600 has no internet connection. Can I download from the sites you suggest on a PC, and load the updates on the mac from a cd?
