I need to transfer files from my Mac harddrive to an external

This answer was rated:

I need to transfer files from my Mac harddrive to an external hardrive that I just hooked up to free space on the harddrive, thanks. I have a Tiger OS X and a Safari browser. I would prefer the Aggie Mac Master if possible.
Glad to help,

So I know how to properly direct you, is the external hard drive visible on your desktop?

Also, what type of files were you hoping to transfer?
Customer: replied 9 years ago.
Hello-the external harddrive is visible on the desktop and I am mainly interested in moving folders and documents with a few programs.
You can just drag the folders and documents you want to save, directly to the hard drive on the desktop. The applications are a bit harder to do depending on the program you wish to transfer; some require supporting files and others only require you to have the application file.

Which applications were you interesting in transferring?
